GOP sets vote on judicial nominee filibuster
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 5, 2003
Republicans want the Senate to vote tomorrow on the nomination of a federal appeals court judge.
Democrats have been filibustering Miguel Estrada, President Bush's pick to the D.C. Circuit of Appeals, citing lack of information about his views. But Republicans don't have enough votes to override the objections, according to news accounts.
