N.C. group says Lumbee recognition means casino

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 2003

A group called the North Carolina Family Policy Council says federal recognition of the Lumbee Tribe will lead to a casino.

All members of the state's Congressional delegation supports the tribe. Sen. Elizabeth Dole (R) and Rep. Mike McIntyre (R) introduced legislation to recognize the tribe.
