Indian memorial at Bighorn to be dedicated

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2003

The National Park Service this summer will finally dedicate a memorial to the Indian warriors who fought at the 1876 Battle of Little Bighorn.

The dedication will take place on June 25, the 127th anniversary of the battle in which members of the Sioux, Cheyenne, Arapaho, Crow and Arikara fought. Congress approved the memorial at the battle site in Montana more than 10 years ago.
