Pequot tribe donates $475K to charity

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2002

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation donated $475,000 to the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut, helping the charity raise a record $9.25 million.

The tribe was the third largest contributor to the fund-raising campaign. Pfizer gave the most with $5.3 million followed by $1.1 million from Electric Boat and its employees.
