Casino money donated in Kan. race

A Kansas Congressman who has drafted a bill to settle a tribal land claim received donations from casino interest, The Kansas City Star reports.

Rep. Dennis Moore (D) received $7,000 from four donors associated with the Wyandotte Nation of Oklahoma. The tribe did not donate but its casino partner and lobbyist did.

The tribe has a 2,000-acre land claim in downtown Kansas City. The bill would settle the claim and authorize trust land in another location for casino development.
