Tribes seek to protect NAGPRA

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2002

The tribes appealing the Kennewick Man case want to protect federal repatriation law, a Nez Perce attorney said.

The Idaho tribe is part of a coalition that claims the Ancient One as an ancestor. They are challenging a federal judge's decision to allow his 9,000-year-old bones to be studied.
