Tribal casinos happy with revenues

Connecticut's two tribal casinos saw $126.9 million in slot machine revenues for the month of September 2002, The New London Day reports.

The Foxwoods Resort Casino, owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, reported $66.3 million in revenues. This was a 2.7 percent drop from September 2001.

The Mohegan Sun Casino, owned by the Mohegan Tribe, reported $60.6 million. This was an increase of 12.1 percent from the year prior.

The tribes each contribute 25 percent slot earnings to the state. The state received $31.7 million.
