School president: Haskell is not closing

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2002

Haskell Indian Nations University in Kansas is not about to close, school president Karen Swisher told students on Tuesday.

The school is facing a tight budget. But Swisher discounted rumors that allegedly originated with a faculty member who advised students to transfer pending closure.
