Maine casino poll draws mixed results

A poll conducted by The Bangor Daily News reveals a split among residents of Maine over support of a tribal casino.
Based on a poll of 523 likely voters, 50 percent of northern residents said they would support a casino. But of southern residents, an equal amount opposed it.
According to the paper, northern residents are poorer than southern ones.
The Passamaquoddy Tribe and the Penobscot Nation are seeking a casino development.
