Indian astronaut to talk
THURSDAY, AUGUST 29, 2002 John Herrington, a member of the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma and the first American Indian to go into space, is making a special appearance tomorrow. Herrington will lecture at 3 p.m. at the Oklahoma City Community College in Oklahoma City. He will not appear in person but through a video hookup from the Houston Space Center. Herrington will be aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour later this year. Get the Story:
