Class action sought on land claim
TUESDAY, AUGUST 27, 2002
The defendants in the Wyandotte Nation lawsuit are seeking certification as a class action.
The Oklahoma tribe claims 2,000 acres in Kansas City, Kansas. The tribe has named more than 1,300 in the suit.
The tribe and a county government agreed to certify the class. The county would defend all the landowners.
