Goshute study won't include terrorist threat
TUESDAY, AUGUST 20, 2002 The Nuclear Regulatory Commission rejected a request by the state of Utah to study whether terrorist attacks will affect a tribe's proposed nuclear waste dump. The Skull Valley Goshute Tribe wants to store up to 44,000 tons of radioactive waste on its reservation. The NRC is evaluating the proposal and will issue or deny a license.
