Ex-BIA employee sorry for fatal crash

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 14, 2002

A former Bureau of Indian Affairs employee who pleaded guilty to second-degree murder charges filed in court a statement expressing his deep remorse for killing two Nebraska couples.

Lloyd Larson said not a day goes by when he doesn't feel sorry about the January 25 accident. "I wish I could personally extend my apologizes [sic] and condolences to every child, grandchild, great-grandchild, sibling, and friend who lost someone on that tragic day because of my conduct," the statement filed on Monday said.

Larson was driving in a BIA vehicle at the time of the accident. He has a record of driving under the influence of alcohol.
