N.D. tribe not affected by funding woes

WEDNESDAY, JULY 24, 2002

The Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation isn't affected by national cuts to Lewis and Clark bicentennial funding, a tribal planner said.

The tribe is planning events to mark the explorers' journey on Aug. 17-20, 2006. The events are the only "officially" sanctioned reservation part of the bicentennial.
