Pequot Tribes patch up old dispute

THURSDAY, JULY 11, 2002

The Eastern Pequot Tribe and the Paucatuck Eastern Pequot Tribe, both of Connecticut, have been working to form a joint government now that they have been recognized as one historic tribe.

The tribes were previously split but officials now say those differences are in the past. A joint pow-wow to celebrate their new partnership is planned for September 21 and 22.
