Digital divide programs eliminated
THURSDAY, JULY 11, 2002 Two digital divide programs worth $45 million in funds are being eliminated by the Bush administration. The Education Department's Community Technology Centers Program, which helps finance computer centers, and the Commerce Department's Technology Opportunities Program, which provides funds and services organizations needing technology, are being cut in the fiscal year 2003 budget.
