Prisoner rats on ex-Seminole chief

MONDAY, JUNE 4, 2002

A convicted felon in Florida claims ex-Seminole tribal chief Jim Billie took money from the sale of tribal aircraft.

Charles H. Kirkpatrick is serving a 13-month sentence in federal prison for tax evasion. He claims he made payouts in the tens of thousands to Billie.

Billie was ousted from the tribe last year. His business activities are reportedly the subject of an FBI investigation.
