School director challenges dismissal
FRIDAY, MAY 10, 2002 Karen Dixon-Blazer says she was wrongly fired from her job as executive director of Navajo Preparatory School in New Mexico. Dixon-Blazer said the termination by the school board was without explanation and a breach of contract. She said she is being set up as the "fall girl" for financial problems prior to joining the school. The board said she failed to follow its directives and that she failed to renew a tribal contract to obtain federal funds. Get the Story:
