Senate Committee on Indian Affairs schedules hearing on Department of Education

The Senate Committee on Indian Affairs is taking a look at programs at the Department of Education that serve Native students.
The oversight hearing on Wednesday afternoon comes amid the Donald Trump administration’s push to shut down the department. But no one from the federal government is testifying, according to the committee.
Instead, the committee will hear from Indian educators and advocates. The witness list follows:
