House subcommittee takes testimony on Indian health bills

The House Subcommittee for Indigenous Peoples of the United States is meeting on Tuesday for a legislative hearing.
Two Indian health bills are on the agenda. They follow:
• H.R.442, the Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium Land Transfer Act. The bill authorizes the transfer of land in Alaska from the Indian Health Service to the Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium.
• H.R.3496, the Urban Indian Health Providers Facilities Improvement Act. The bill ensures that urban Indian health providers can use existing resources to upgrade, renovate and expand their facilities.
The hearing takes place at 12pm Eastern and will be live-streamed. The witness list includes:
