Idaho – 1st Congressional District<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rudy Soto<\/a>, a citizen of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes, is making his first run for Congress. He’s a Democrat.<\/p>\n

Russ Fulcher is the incumbent Republican. Cook Political Report<\/a> deems the race to be “Solid Republican” meaning Soto is in an uphill battle to represent the district.<\/p>\n

Kansas – 3rd Congressional District<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sharice Davids, Democrat,\u00a0is seeking re-election. Cook Political Report<\/a> deems her seat “Solid Democrat.”<\/p>\n

Davids, a citizen of the Ho-Chunk Nation, made history in 2018 by becoming one of the first Native women to win election to Congress.<\/p>\n

New Mexico – 1st Congressional District<\/strong><\/p>\n

Deb Haaland, Democrat, is running her first re-election campaign. Cook Political Report<\/a> deems her seat “Solid Democrat.”<\/p>\n

Halaand, who hails from the Pueblo of Laguna, made history in 2018 by becoming one of the first Native women to win election to Congress.<\/p>\n

New Mexico – 2nd Congressional District<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yvette Herrell, a Republican and citizen of the Cherokee Nation, is making her second bid to represent a district that includes a number of tribes in New Mexico. She lost in 2018 to Xochitl Torres Small, the Democratic candidate.<\/p>\n

Cook Political Report<\/a> deems the race to be a “Democratic Toss Up” meaning Torres Small isn’t guaranteed re-election in the heavily competitive district.<\/p>\n

Oklahoma – 2nd Congressional District<\/strong><\/p>\n

Markwayne Mullin, Republican and citizen of the Cherokee Nation, is seeking a fifth term in office. Cook Political Report<\/a> deems his seat “Solid Republican.”<\/p>\n

Despite the strong Republican lean of the district where 17 percent of the population is Native, Danyell Lanier, also Cherokee, is seeking to make history of her own.<\/p>\n

Oklahoma – 4th Congressional District<\/strong><\/p>\n
