Native voters in Montana host press conference on voting rights lawsuit

Native voters in Montana are hosting a press conference on September 26, 2024, to discuss a new voting rights lawsuit.

"A disturbing pattern of state and local voter suppression tactics are denying Native Americans in Montana equal access to the ballot box," a media advisory states.

According to the advisory, voters from the Fort Peck Tribes are filing the lawsuit. They will discuss the effort at the James F. Battin Federal Courthouse in Billings on Thursday morning.
