Native Congressional candidate Jonathan Nez, a former president of the Navajo Nation, is hosting a watch party in Arizona as Kamala Harris accepts the Democratic nomination for president.
Nez, the Democratic nominee for Arizona's 2nd Congressional district, will be joined by Democratic elected officials from Coconino County for the event, taking place in Flagstaff on the evening of August 22, 2024.
Among those expected to join the watch party are Judy Begay, the District 4 representative on the Coconino County Board of Supervisors. Begay is Navajo.
Harris is accepting the nomination at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois. The DNC concludes Thursday evening.
