It's finally here! The Chemehuevi Tribe is debuting a completely new casino in California on Friday.
The long-awaited Havasu Landing Resort and Casino is located on the shores of Lake Havasu. The 72,500 square-foot facility consists of a spacious gaming floor, a 48-room hotel with a fitness room and outdoor pool, a sports bar, a gift shop, a restaurant, a ferry dock, and marina slips with a store.
"It has been a long project in the making, but it has been well worth the wait, as a new era begins," the casino said in a news release.

The tribe has spent years working on the project. A groundbreaking took place in November 2017, with plans to complete construction by the spring of 2019.
But that date came and went. A tribal leader told The Havasu News Herald earlier this year that finishing the parking lot proved to be difficult due to "work force challenges."
The new development replaces the original casino, which was located about a quarter mile away.
