The Osage Nation has completed the final portion of a $160 million expansion at its casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Skyline Event Center is a 2,000-seat venue at the Osage Casino. The first show, taking place at the 45,000-square-foot facility on Friday, is already sold out, The Tulsa World reported. “There’s been a lot of excitement for our event center, and we’ve been moving full-steam ahead. This addition gives us the opportunity to bring in some phenomenal acts, and we’re ecstatic to bring in these headliners for our first entertainers,” said Osage Casinos CEO Byron Bighorse told The World. The venue adds to an impressive array of changes at the casino. Last August, the tribe debuted a 247,000 square-foot gaming floor with 1,500 electronic games and 16 table games, a 141-room hotel with event space, a 4,000 square-foot brewery, a new parking garage, along with a 6,000-square-foot outdoor entertainment area with a 120,000-gallon pool, a fire pit, a poolside bar and a 15-person hot tub. The facility is the largest in the tribe's enterprise in northeast Oklahoma. The land for the casino was placed in trust during the Obama administration after a federal appeals court said the tribe's reservation was diminished by an act of Congress.
