The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes are planning two grand opening events at their casino in Idaho.
The tribe is connecting the Fort Hall Casino to the adjacent Shoshone-Bannock Hotel and Event Center. The facility will be known as the Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel. To put the properties together, the tribe built a 85,463 square-foot addition on the grounds. The project also features a bingo hall, a buffet restaurant and lounge, as well as more than 300 additional parking spaces. The initial grand opening for the expansion takes place February 13. A second ceremony will be held February 25. The tribe broke ground in 2017, with a reported cost of $35 million for the expansion. A snag last year resulted in the termination of the original contractor. A new contractor was brought on board to finish the job.
