The Cowlitz Tribe has lost a bid to prevent the release of a casino surveillance video.

The video allegedly contains footage of an incident at ilani, the tribe's gaming facility in Washington. A patron says he was attacked and beaten by a group of men there last October.

The tribe turned over the video to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office as part of the investigation into the incident. The patron, as well as his attorney, subsequently requested the footage from the sheriff but the tribe filed two different lawsuits in hopes of blocking its release

A county judge has since ordered the video to be released, The Columbian reported. The decision was issued last week, according to records in the case captioned Cowlitz Tribal Gaming Authority v. Clark County Sheriff’s Office, No. 18-2-06359-06.

The tribe was given two weeks to file an appeal so the video doesn't have to be turned over immediately, the paper reported.
