The Forest County Potawatomi Community is on track to complete an $80 million casino expansion project.
The tribe is adding a second hotel tower to the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. When complete in the spring of 2019, the facility will boast a total of 500 rooms. “This hotel project is important not only to the continued success of the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino to offer a first-rate entertainment option to Milwaukee and beyond, but also to continue fuel our tribe’s investment in Milwaukee,” Chairman Ned Daniels Jr. said as the tribe held a topping-off ceremony on Thursday, Urban Milwaukee reported. The new tower, which boasts 180,000-square-foot of space, will also feature a spa and additional meeting space. It will be connected to the 381-room, 19-story tower that was completed in August 2014. The casino, which debuted in 1990, is located just a couple of miles from downtown Milwaukee. It was the first to be approved under the two-part determination provisions of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act.Congratulations to @paysbig on topping off the new hotel tower today! pic.twitter.com/e4MNEKGJEk
