FireKeepers Casino on Facebook: Major announcement!

The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi is bringing a second hotel tower to its gaming facility in Michigan.

The FireKeepers Casino and Hotel currently features 243 rooms. But tribal officials said the rooms are almost always booked so they are adding more space for visitors.

“Today’s announcement is the first step in the process, as we secure architects and constructions management,” Chairman Jamie Stuck said in a press release on monday “This is a key step in our strategic plan for FireKeepers to provide for future generations of our tribe.”

According to The Battle Creek Enquirer, tentative plans call for about 200 rooms. Additional details, including a groundbreaking, are expected to be announced at a later date.

The casino has been named a Four Diamond Hotel by AAA for four years in a row. The tower debuted in 2012.
