Osage Casinos on Facebook: Expansion in Tulsa

The Osage Nation will debut a $160 million casino expansion project in a couple of months.

According to news reports, the Osage Casino in Tulsa features a 247,000 square-foot gaming floor with 1,500 electronic games and 16 table games. There's also a 141-room hotel with event space, a 4,000 square-foot brewery, a new parking garage and a 6,000-square-foot outdoor entertainment area with a 120,000-gallon pool, a fire pit, a poolside bar and a 15-person hot tub.

“Very soon, our guests will be dipping in the pool, lounging poolside and playing inside," Osage Casinos CEO Byron Bighorse told KTUL. "We can’t wait to showcase to the public what we’ve been working on for so many months."

As the tribe prepares for the late August opening, a job fair is taking place on July 12, according to a post on Osage News. More than 200 jobs are being created with the expansion.

The casino in Tulsa is one of seven gaming facilities on the Osage Nation. The Tulsa site was placed in trust during the Obama administration after a federal appeals court said the tribe's reservation was diminished by an act of Congress.
