Authorities in southern California are investigating a fatal shooting at the casino owned by the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians.
The shooting occurred at 2:15am on Tuesday morning, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office said in a press release. Two security investigators at the Chumash Casino Resort were involved in an altercation with a male subject when one of them apparently shot and killed the man, the office said. The incident occurred behind a building near a parking structure at the facility according to the sheriff.
