The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians is considering a major expansion of one of its casinos in southern California.
The Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa in Rancho Mirage could see a larger gaming floor, more meeting space, additional food, beverage and retail options and up to 310 new hotel rooms. "We offer the finest in casino-resort style entertainment right here in Rancho Mirage, and we are exploring several opportunities on how to expand this luxury destination experience," Chairman Jeff L. Grubbe said in a press release on Wednesday. "We have a lot of decisions to make, and we are at the beginning of that process." The tribe is soliciting public input on the project until March 2. An environmental impact report will be prepared as part of the process. The tribe also operates the Spa Resort Casino in Palm Springs. A land-into-trust application has been submitted to the Bureau of Indian Affairs for a third gaming facility in Cathedral City. Read More on the Story:
