The St. Croix Chippewa Tribe is reporting minimal damage after a fire struck a hotel used for casino guests in Danbury, Wisconsin.
The fire at the St. Croix Casino Lodge occurred in the afternoon on Saturday, November 4. It apparently started in a sauna in the pool area and caused some damage to a small number of adjacent guest rooms, KMSP reported. “There were no injuries,” Danbury fire chief Mark Bauer told The Burnett County Sentinel. A gaming executive told KMSP that most guests at the lodge were relocated to a different property. The St. Croix Casino Danbury itself was not affected. The facility is across the parking lot from the lodge. The casino has a hotel attached to the property. That hotel was not affected either. The tribe also operates casinos in Turtle Lake and in Hertel. Read More on the Story:
