A year following the debut of its long-awaited casino in southern California, the Jamul Indian Village can finally serve liquor there.
The Hollywood Casino Jamul - San Diego secured a permanent liquor license after an administrative law judge heard from both sides of the issue. The decision came last Wednesday, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported. “We know that serving alcohol is a serious responsibility, and one that we do not take lightly,” Chairwoman Erica Pinto said in a statement to the paper. The casino opened in October 2016. Hollywood Casino Jamul is the closest tribal gaming facility, in terms of distance, to downtown San Diego. It had been serving liquor under an interim license while protests were heard, according to the California Department of Alcohol Beverage Control. Read More on the Story:
