The Spokane Tribe is getting closer to opening a new casino in Washington.
The Spokane Tribe Casino is due to open in Airway Heights before the end of the year. As construction nears completion, the tribe hosted a job fair last Thursday and is hosting another one this Thursday to fill new positions at the facility. More than 300 jobs are open, KXLY reported.
The tribe is one of the few to complete both steps of the two-part determination provisions of the Indian
Gaming Regulatory Act. The process requires approval from the state, in addition to the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
It took the tribe over 10 years to win final approval for the casino.
