An undercover sex trafficking operation at the casino owned by the Meskwaki Tribe resulted in charges against two people, The Toledo Chronicle / Tama News-Herald reports.

The two men responded to ads placed online by tribal officers, the paper said. John Jordan Lundberg, 30, showed up to the Meskwaki Bingo Casino Hotel last October after seeking sexual activity with a minor.

Lundberg has since been granted a deferred judgment in the case, the paper said. He will serve three years of probation and must register as a sex offender, the paper reported.

Timothy William Vance, 30, also was charged after responding to the ad. His case does not appear to have been resolved yet.

The Senate Committee on Indian Affairs is holding a hearing on Wednesday afternoon to look into human trafficking of Native Americans.
