Saginaw Chippewa Tribe approves $26.5 million renovation at main casino

The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe is embarking on a second gaming expansion project.
According to news reports, tribal council approved a $26.5 million renovation Soaring Eagle Casino
& Resort, its flagship facility in in Mount Pleasant. Plans include a new sports bar and night club, new gaming and lounge areas and updates to the entertainment hall and family-friendly arcade.
Work is slated to begin this fall and will be complete by spring of 2018, MLive reported.
Just last month, the tribe broke ground on an expansion at the Saganing Eagles
Landing Casino, a smaller facility in Standish. The project includes a 148-room hotel.
