Voters in Dane County, Wisconsin, rejected the Ho-Chunk Nation's proposal to turn a bingo hall into a full-fledged casino.
Casino opponents were pleased but very surprised by the 64 percent who voted no to the project. "I'm genuinely shocked," one anti-casino organizer was quoted as saying.
