A bill to authorize two tribal casinos in Michigan died in the House on Thursday.
Provisions to allow the Bay Mills Indian Community to build a casino in Port Huron and the Sault Ste. Marie Chippewa Tribe to build a casino in Romulus had been added to the federal transportation bill last week. Reps. Candace Miller (R-Mich.) and John Dingell (D-Mich.) support the casinos. $P But the language was removed due to objections from Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.). Get the Story:
