California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) accepted a $21,200 donation from a subsidiary of a gaming company that operates a casino in the state and is seeking to open three more, The San Francisco Chronicle reports. $P Vista Holdings LLC gave the money to Schwarzenegger's "Californians for Schwarzenegger -- 2006'' campaign committee last month. Vista Holdings is owned by Station Casinos of Las Vegas. $P Station Casinos manages a highly successful northern California casino for the United Auburn Indian Community, a tribe currently renegotiating its gaming compact with Schwarzenegger. The company plans to manage a casino for the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria, which is seeking to negotiate a compact.
Station Casinos is also planning to manage two new casinos. A spokesperson for Schwarzenegger said the $21,200 donation would be returned. Get the Story:
