The Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin is offering an unprecedented revenue-sharing deal in exchange for a casino in Illinois.
Most revenue-sharing deals are based on a percentage of slot machine revenues. But the tribe is offering to share 25 of net casino revenues with Illinois. Earlier this week, the tribe announced plans for a casino in a Chicago suburb. The tribe's lawyer said the facility would bring in $350 million a year in net revenues.
