The Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin plans to withhold a $30 million payment to the state in light of the recent court decision striking down new tribal-state compacts.
The tribe's attorney said the compact remains valid except for the revenue-sharing provision. The state Supreme Court said Gov. Jim Doyle (D) did not have the authority to authorize new casino games. In total, the state stand to lose up to $207 million in payments from 10 tribes. Get the Story:
