Tribal casinos took in more than $16.7 billion in 2003, according to figures released by the National Indian Gaming Commission on Tuesday.
Indian gaming revenues grew by 13.7 percent over 2002. A total of 348 facilities reported earnings. The region consisting of California and Nevada saw $4.7 billion in revenues, the highest of any region. A close second was the East Coast, reporting $4.3 billion.
