Voters of Nambe Pueblo in northern New Mexico will go to the polls October 2 to decide if they want to enter the gaming business.
Gov. Tom Talache Jr. is proposing a futuristic casino and family-oriented theme park. The project would cost $30 million and include a hotel, event center and amusement park. The casino would be located on a highway that is already home to four other tribal casinos north of Santa Fe. The tribe had agreed to hold off any development until this year under a land swap with neighboring Pojoaque Pueblo, which runs a successful casino. Get the Story:
