The president of the Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin is questioning a proposal for an off-reservation casino resort in Illinois.
The tribe's legislative branch announced plans to turn 432 acres in a Chicago suburb into an entertainment destination. The branch already bought 105 acres for $10 million. But in the tribe's newsletter, the executive branch, headed by president George R. Lewis, accused the legislative branch of "running wild and blind with this project."
