The Doņa Ana County Board of Commissioners voted 3-2 on Tuesday to enter into a services agreement for New Mexico's first off-reservation casino.
The agreement is with the developers of the casino rather than Jemez Pueblo, the tribe behind the casino. Some say the county acted too quickly to approve the deal. Jemez Pueblo is working with an art dealer on the project. The tribe's reservation is hundreds of miles away from the proposed site in Doņa Ana County. Get the Story:
