The Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma and its supporters are launching campaigns to convince voters in Ohio to approve off-reservation casinos.
The tribe is eyeing up to nine sites throughout the state. Supporters say it is inevitable that gaming will come to Ohio but the tribe needs state and federal approval to open a casino. Separately, Cleveland Mayor Jane Campbell is pushing a statewide vote to allow casinos in large cities. Voters have previously rejected gaming in 1990 and 1996. Get the Story:
