The Cherokee Nation has raised the legal gambling age at its casino to 21.
Cherokee Nation spokesperson Mike Miller said the tribe conducted a study and found that only 3 percent of gamblers were between the ages of 18 and 21. “We've looked at the industry standard, 21 and over for gaming and that's what we've done," he told KOTV News. Also, the tribe has recently started serving liquor at the Cherokee Casino Resort, considered the largest gaming facility in the state. Get the Story:
