Cherokee Nation shares $2M in gaming revenues

The Cherokee Nation shared $2 million in gaming revenues with the state and the horse racing industry.

Under the tribal-state compact, the tribe is required to share revenues from certain Class III games. Most of the money -- $1.4 million -- is going to the Oklahoma Horse Racing Commission to be used for horseman's purses

The rest is going to the state to be used for public education.
