The state of Wisconsin has been paying an attorney $230 an hour to negotiate a gaming compact with the Ho-Chunk Nation, the Associated Press reports.
Matt Flynn is the former head of the state Democratic Party and a frequent donor to Gov. Jim Doyle (D). He has been working on the compact since last year. So far, he has charged the state $50,000. He normally charges $405 an hour, a former state official said. Get the Story:
